We all start somewhere.

I think I always had a camera in my hand (actually, around my neck tied to a ribbon) throughout college documenting every moment on a Canon Point-and-Shoot.

It was after college that my dad bought me my first DSLR for Christmas and that first camera changed everything for me.

With my new "fancy" camera in hand I started practicing every chance I could get but felt frustrated when I couldn't get it to do what I was hoping. Aperture huh? ISO? Wait what? I tried the whole YouTube university route and it just wasn't clicking.

Finally, I took a class and it started to click but was by no means natural to me even though my photography career started to pick up organically from there once my friends found out I had a camera that I knew how to use and I was hungry to practice.

I grew my photography business and art incredibly slowly on the side of my apparel merchandising career. However, I only was able to truly grow and create art I really loved once I started investing in myself and education.

And that's why I want to share my experience with you because it would have helped me so much to have had someone to support me through. I'm here to support you if you're just beginning or feeling stuck!
